The Department of Music at Lebanon Valley College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Music Education to begin Fall 2022. The successful candidate will serve as Director of Music Education, teach courses in elementary and secondary general music education, facilitate undergraduate field placements and student teaching, be responsible for maintaining the program’s accreditation with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, be a leader in educational technologies, advise a cohort of undergraduate music majors, and coordinate curriculum and assessment with the opportunity to teach in the graduate music programs. Qualifications include: Master’s degree in music required, doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.D, or D.M.A. in Music Education) preferred; experience teaching undergraduate music education courses; experience in Modern Band preferred; possible other specializations held by the applicant; administrative experience in music education. The candidate should have the ability to utilize the department’s current technologies and be a leader in developing and teaching of educational technology.
