Job Summary
Assists with analyzing salary data, preparing salary analysis and recommendations in order to support the College’s compensation, and classification methodologies and best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manages the classification system by conducting job analysis, job evaluation studies of new positions and reclassfication requests and making recommendations for appropriate classification; evaluates new and existing positions for exemption status under the Fair Labor Standards Act ( FLSA )
• Conducts market surveys for cost of living adjustments, pay increases, market adjustments, benefits, and special studies; participates in local, state, and national community college salary surveys; assists in the budget recommendations for pay increases each year based on information gathered and available budget
• Coordinates the organizational changes for each year, including adjustment of salary scales, market adjustments, position reclassifications, annual increase salary changes, calculation of adjunct faculty proportional increases, etc
• Perform year end audits to identify missing wage records, temporary positions, salaries below entry pay, etc
• Conducts equity and market salary analysis of starting pay for employees recommended above entry level, and for current employees recommended for promotion
• Coordinates the management of job descriptions by creating, revising, updating, and posting them on the web site for all current and new job descriptions
• Coordinates position restructuring process and position control maintenance
• Develops workload reports for on-call, part-time, and adjunct employees to determine benefits eligibility and associated costs; prepares reports for approval of adjuncts exceeding workload limits; prepares and analyzes annual Affordable Care Act measurement extract
• Assists with employee communications on compensation policies. Provides training on compensation topics and procedures
• Interprets compensatory time and overtime policies to comply with regulations for the application at the College
• Uses interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, reasons, and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College
• Supports the mission, vision, and the 3 goals & 8 principals of the College
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, mathematics, business, economics, or related field

• Human Resources Certification (e.g. PHR, SHRM - SCP )
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
• Solid knowledge and application of spreadsheet software (i.e. Excel)
• Able to work in a diverse and changing work environment
• Experience with HRIS systems
• Solid knowledge with word processing and presentation software
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge or education with compensation pay plans
• Collaborative team player in a diverse working environment
