The Department of Computer Science at Durham University seeks to appoint a talented individual to the role of Assistant Professor. We welcome applications from those with research and teaching interests in the broad field of Visual Computing and we are particularly eager to hear from applicants with a research focus across all aspects of visual sensing and computer vision, human computer interaction, data visualisation and computer graphics including those with strong links to related work in neural computation and deep machine learning.

The applicant will join the newly formed VIViD, (Vision, Imaging and Visualisation in Durham) research group that aims to provide a broad home for all aspects of visual computing research at Durham including computer vision, image processing, medical imaging, visual HCI, robotic sensing, virtual/augmented reality, computational imaging and image/video encoding.
