The College of Arts and Letters at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking candidates for a full-time, senior-level, tenured appointment as Professor of Music & Technology. This appointment will be at the level of Full or Associate Professor depending on experience and background. Candidates must hold a terminal degree in a field related to Music & Technology, with an interdisciplinary research and creative agenda that will be recognized as deserving of tenure with rank at Stevens. The successful candidate will have a significant portfolio of international recognition and accomplishment in a Music & Technology-related area; examples of areas of interest include but are not limited to AI-related fields of musical creation and inquiry, musical robotics, sound and media studies, critical software studies, theory and musicology within electronic music genres, technologically mediated performance, music information retrieval, sound design, and musical instrument design.

Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses in Music & Technology and contribute courses in their area(s) of interest to the development of new graduate certificates and a future graduate program. Candidates will also be expected to collaborate with faculty to develop a vision for the Music & Technology program and to develop exciting research and creative initiatives around music and technology.
