Regional Dean’s Office – Middletown: The Regional E-Campus Interactive Media Specialist will collaborate with the E-Campus Leadership and cross functional project teams to advance the online student experience and learning environments through the creation of compelling high-quality interactive media projects using data-driven best practices that advance recruitment, retention, and engagement of online students.

Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Lead production of web, video, and interactive media project timelines and workflows using Miami identity and accessibility standards.
  • Produce excellent, high quality digital experiences and video, image, and audio assets that meet project goals and requirements.
  • Deploy design initiatives to increase traffic with E-Campus website and social media outlets utilizing SEO and analytics to assist in the cultivation of vibrant online communities and learning environments.
  • Visually communicate the stories of online students, programs, and achievements through graphic/media promotion and recognition.
  • Lead all aspects of interactive media production from planning, creating actionable timelines, scheduling locations, scripting, staffing, talent management, supplies/equipment preparations to ensure high-quality and creative deliverables.
  • Conduct user testing and/or analytical research to advance initiatives.
  • Report on effectiveness of media initiatives utilizing data and analytics.
  • Provide training and maintenance of E-Campus production studios and professional audio and video equipment.
  • Assist with supervision, scheduling, and mentoring of interactive media student employees or interns.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree, 3 years demonstrated success achieving interactive media (video, graphics, photography, animations, advertisements, etc.) project goals from ideation to completion with measurable results end to end; demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage projects and prioritize work while advancing multiple projects simultaneously; create engaging content through concept development, writing, shooting on location, editing video, photography, and content according to brand guidelines for digital platforms; advanced Proficiency in use of professional video and photography equipment including Digital Video Cameras, DSLR, Lenses, Microphones, Audio Equipment, and Lighting Equipment; proficiency in software related to interactive media such as Adobe Creative Suite, Web-Based Apps, Mobile Technologies, Google Analytics, SEO optimization; proficiency in verbal and written communication skills; including communicating technical information in terms understandable to the diverse audiences; proficiency in use of analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree and 5 or more years’ experience or project management and experience creating custom interactive media within a higher education institution; lead photography, video production, location visits, and other stages of the creative development or production process; proficiency in specialized interactive media skills: Content development UX/UI and Section 508 and web accessibility compliance for remediation and captions; conducting user testing and/or analytical research using analytics; utilization of project management software, such as Wrike or Basecamp, to manage multiple creative projects and meet deadlines; demonstrates and promotes advancement for diversity and inclusion, in particular service to historically underserved, underrepresented, minority, and non-traditional students.
