Job Summary 

Full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Education with primary assignment to the Ed.D. Education Leadership programs. Position responsibilities include teaching, research and dissertation oversight, academic advising, and institutional service. This is a 12-month position.

Responsibilities

Teach a minimum of four research courses (opportunity to teach more courses), serve on the University IRB Committee, carry out research course oversight, and fulfill other administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Skills

The preferred candidate has demonstrated skills in effective on-line teaching at the graduate level. The individual is fluent in research design and administration, including both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The candidate must exhibit exemplary communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. The individual should be one who focuses on developing quality relationships and providing responsive customer service, and must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to increasing our diversity as a community. This faculty member should exhibit a passion for nurturing an educational climate where life-change and kingdom impact occur.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching, preferably in both an online delivery modality and at the graduate level; demonstrated ability to teach and work with people from culturally diverse backgrounds; demonstrated commitment to improving levels of access and success for underrepresented students in higher education. Candidates must have a strong understanding of research methodology, a scholarly agenda, and experience serving on dissertations committees. A strong professional network in research, leadership, and/or education is preferred.

Education

 

The candidate must hold a doctorate degree. Due to the research emphasis of this role, a Ph.D. is preferred.

Compensation and Start Date

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Start date is August 1, 2022.
