Job Summary:

The mission of the Team Science Core at UW-ICTR is to facilitate high-impact team science through the development of infrastructure to support interdisciplinary teams. We do this through team science education (workshops, seminars, courses) and interventions for translational teams and conducting Science of Team Science research. We are seeking a program manager to provide exceptional operational and scientific support to this small, growing program. The incumbent will be comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up like environment and someone who likes a new challenge every day. The position will also serve as a liaison to other operational areas of UW-ICTR, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and synergies among programs.

The key responsibilities of this position include planning and directing day-to-day operational activities of small Team Science Core team, with a focus on providing administrative and programmatic support in four key areas: :
Team Science Education:
-Provides administrative management of team science courses, workshops, and trainings, including: scheduling 7-10 trainings per year, managing registration process, assisting with the development of training materials, organization and management (including any necessary licensing) of training materials, administering pre- and post-session surveys in collaboration with the UW-ICTR Assistant Director of Team Science

Team Science Interventions:
-Plans and executes logistics of dissemination and implementation trial of existing Collaboration Planning intervention, including managing recruitment, distribution of intervention materials, collection of agreements to participate, and follow-up data collection
-Schedules intervention sessions with UW teams, distributing pre- and post-session surveys and session materials

Team Science Research Program:
-Contributes to Team Science Core research program, under the direction of the Director of Team Science by conducting literature reviews; and assisting with writing, editing, and submitting manuscripts.
-Works with ICTR communication team to promote ICTR team science research
-Prepares IRB applications and monitors compliance
-Prepares grant applications
-Potential to conduct preliminary data gathering through interviews or focus group facilitation

General Program Management:
-Works with UW-ICTR central finance to manage all fiscal responsibilities of the Core, including expense reports, registration fees, and any purchasing
-Produces and distributes marketing materials such as workshop flyers
-Tracks all tasks, responsibilities, accomplishments, publications, and grant submissions
-Works with ICTR central administration to track key outcomes for NIH progress reports
-Interacts with other ICTR units to ensure adherence to ICTR-wide best practices, alignment with ICTR strategic plan, and identify synergies with other ICTR programs.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 years of project, program, and/or administrative management experience
-Strong writing and editing skills (if selected for final round, writing and editing test may be required)
-Experience with conducting literature reviews and some formal training in research methods (qualitative and quantitative)

Preferred Qualifications
-Strong interest in translational research that impacts human health
-Experience conducting qualitative research such as structured interviews or focus groups
-Experience writing and/or submitting federal grant proposals
-Experience designing and administering evaluations
-Experience working in either academic research or start-up environment
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information:

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
