Associate Dean
The Baldwin Wallace University Department of Education announces a full-time, 12-month administrative position for Associate Dean beginning July, 2022. The Associate Dean provides leadership and management for the Department of Education. As leader of the Department, he/she will provide oversite for planning, fiscal budget, accreditation, faculty and staff, and all graduate and undergraduate curricula. Currently, the Department has 4.5 staff, a chair, and nine full time faculty and numerous adjuncts.
We are seeking candidates with a passion for and commitment to the field of education. They will join a community of equally committed teacher-scholars who see their role in preparing the next generation of teachers as both a privilege and a tremendous responsibility. The Department of Education at Baldwin Wallace is known for balancing its rigorous and comprehensive preparation programs with innovative approaches and personal attention to its students. Currently the Department of Education offers five undergraduate programs and seven graduate programs including Leadership in Higher Education. All licensure and endorsement programs are state approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) and the BW Department of Education is fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) at the initial and advanced levels.
We expect the successful candidate to have significant knowledge and leadership experience in education preparation, accreditation, organizational behavior, development and management, and in leading change. Earned doctorate related to the job description and significant leadership experience required.
