Job Summary
The New Venture Accelerator (a partnership between Auburn’s Harbert College of Business and the Auburn Research and Technology Foundation) is seeking a Grant Manager to oversee daily operations and management of the recently awarded Economic Development Administration ( EDA ) grant. This is a 3-year limited term position. Learn more about the New Venture Accelerator here .
Essential Functions
This position will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operation and management/direction of the EDA grant entitled Lee County Community Expansion of New Venture Accelerator Entrepreneurship Programming Project.
- Coordinate the activities of the organizations providing support to the project, which include staff and faculty members of the Harbert College of Business, staff and management from the Auburn Research and Technology Foundation, and staff and management from the City of Auburn economic development organization.
- Monitor compliance with the terms of the grant and provides Auburn University, Harbert College of Business management, Auburn Research and Technology Foundation management, City of Auburn management, and the Economic Development Administration with all required information and reports on a timely basis.
- Coordinate activities related to the production of video collateral with the Harbert College Media Production Group.
- Develop and coordinates programming and training activities in support of the goals and outcomes described in the grant proposal.
- Monitor progress against the goals of the grant and suggests actions and modifications to plans and programs designed to achieve those goals.
- Serve as liaison to the Office of Sponsored Programs.
- Provide support for the New Venture Accelerator goals of increasing external funding.
- Other duties as assigned.
