JOB TITLE SUMMARY

Job Title: Analyst, Accounts Payable

Reports To: Supervisor, Accounts Payable

Job Summary

This position performs detailed work while preparing and analyzing supplier invoices and conducting supplier research and analysis. Additional duties include reviewing and processing payments.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
  • Processes all invoices, rents, and staff reimbursements accurately in a timely manner
  • Verifies transactions and contracts meet established University guidelines
  • Compares all utility bills from present month to prior month and notes major increases/decreases; communicates variances as appropriate
  • Manages Accounts Payable email
  • Uses professional judgment to identify and research questionable items
  • Makes recommendations for improvements to business processes
  • Ensures good working relationships with vendors
  • Ensures all assigned tasks are completed within daily/weekly deadlines
Service Excellence
  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity, and teamwork
  • Provides timely customer support for vendors with accounts payable questions, concerns, or problems
Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
  • Ensures good working relationships with campus community
  • Communicates effectively with all organizational levels
  • Reconciles transactions by notifying departments of any known discrepancies and providing balanced records
Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related area
  • Completion of vaccination status survey and proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of hire.
