Salary & Benefits: Starting Salary $37,170.92. Promotional placement is not limited to the posted salary range maximum. Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.

Classification: Full-time, Technical/Professional, Pay Grade PT2, Non-Exempt.

Location: Northwest Campus, Building R, 3000 NW 83rd Street, Gainesville, Florida.

Consistent with the values and goals of Santa Fe College, the Office of Admissions helps students begin their path to academic success through recruitment, advising, processing, and orientation. The Office of Admissions is seeking an Admission Specialist to guide new and prospective students through all aspects of the SF's admissions process. The Admissions Specialist is responsible disseminating general college information, conducting outreach to a caseload of applicants, and advising students on their responsibilities as related to the admissions process, and for assessing residency documents to make residency determinations in concert with Florida Statute.

Responsibilities and duties include:

· Support and assist prospective students with the admissions process by providing guidance, information and resources in compliance with all relevant state statutes and college rules.

· Provide service excellence to prospects and applicants throughout the admissions process, which includes completion of the admission application, supplemental applications for limited access programs, residency documentation, high school transcripts, and placement test scores.

· Make residency determinations for in-state tuition and help students document various state requirements for admission to higher education.

· Help applicants understand the reason for and the appropriate college processes for resolving any flags/holds on their student record.

· Conduct outreach to a caseload of applicants, and support them though initial enrollment by use of Salesforce, the college’s constituent relationship management system.

· Collaborate closely with the Coordinator in all areas related to admissions, assisting with special projects as needed.

· Strictly maintain the confidentiality, privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information.

· Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Coordinator, Admissions Advising & Processing

 

Qualifications

Required: A Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in admissions, enrollment, advisement, recruitment, counseling, mentoring and/or a related area is required.

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.

Preferred: Master’s degree in Student Affairs or related field is preferred. Foreign language competency is preferred. Experience with Salesforce or similar constituent relationship management systems is preferred.

· Systems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.

· Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization.
