The William B. Greene, Jr. School of Business and Technology at Milligan University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position of Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity.  This is a nine-month faculty position (paid over 12 months) with an anticipated start in August 2022. Milligan University offers baccalaureate degrees in computer science, cybersecurity, and information systems.

 

The anticipated teaching load includes a wide range of undergraduate courses with an emphasis on cybersecurity such as information assurance, ethical hacking, computer forensics, network security, and system administration, among others. Successful candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, serving as a champion for the cybersecurity program through positive interaction with prospective students and the public. Student mentoring, academic advising at the undergraduate level, and new course development to support the dynamic and growing area is required. Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to collegiality and teamwork.

 

Qualifications: Applicants should hold at minimum a master’s degree (PhD preferred) in computer science, cyber security, information systems or a related field of study from a regionally accredited institution. Current cyber security certification (e.g., CISSP) or a commitment to pursue is a plus. A commitment to integrating faith and learning in a liberal arts environment is essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, commitment to the University mission, and a lifestyle consistent with the University’s goals.
