The Biology Department at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning August 2022. Expertise in anatomy or physiology in human or vertebrate systems preferred. Primary teaching responsibilities include: majors’ and non-majors’ Introductory Biology courses with inquiry-based labs, Human Anatomy and Physiology courses with cadaver-based labs, and the possibility of additional upper-level courses based on the successful applicant’s area of expertise. Ph.D. preferred (required at the time for tenure); previous teaching experience preferred. The Biology Department prides itself on providing students with strong critical thinking skills for careers and graduate programs in biology, as well as numerous health care professions. Priority will be given to applicants showing a strong commitment to effective teaching and scholarly engagement, as well as a willingness to teach in multiple delivery formats.
