Education Requirements
• High School diploma
• Basic computer skills required
• Must pass proctor examination for Pearson VUE and Kryterion Testing Services
• Must receive ATI TEAS proctor training
Experience Requirements
• Customer service experience
• Computer literacy
• Sound decision making and problem-solving skills required
• Maturity and confidence to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
• Prepare the testing center for testing candidates prior to candidates’ arrival
• Greet testing candidates and make them feel welcome to PTC Testing Services
• Review candidate credentials for appropriateness and validity
• Admit the candidate for their scheduled examinations
• Monitor the testing candidates to ensure integrity of the testing center is maintained
• Occasionally troubleshoot technical problems, with phone support from testing center help desks
Physical Demands
Ability to sit quietly for long periods of time
Other Job Information
• Must pass criminal background check prior to starting position.
• Limited breaks due to monitoring candidates who are taking examinations, this includes rest room breaks.
• No headphones or sound from cell phones or computer programs is permitted while candidates are testing
• Must maintain proctoring credentials for all exams proctored
Work Schedule
• Be part of a pool of test proctors that are scheduled to work 3 to 4 Saturdays per month from 8:30 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. and a couple of evening shifts per month from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Each proctor must be able to work at least one required shift per month. Assignments will be based on test proctors’ preferences when feasible; however, business needs must be met.
• Proctors must agree to work the session(s) they are scheduled. Arrangements must be made in advance if a shift change is needed. There is only one proctor per session; testing can not occur without a proctor so coverage is essential.
