Purpose of Job

The ideal candidate will teach coursework in the welding technology program which is a 12-month certificate program.
  • Support curriculum and provide training and student support to produce graduates who meet entry-level employment criteria for positions in welding.
  • Prepare students to pass certification tests required in the profession
Education Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION :
  • Associate Degree in related field
  • American Welding Certification ( AWS ) required
Experience Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Minimum five years of experience in industry using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
  • Prior experience conducting certification tests for qualifications of personnel with national code requirements a plus.

Work Schedule

WORK SCHEDULE :
Adjunct – Hours will vary based on course(s) being taught ( DAYLIGHT and NIGHT - TIMEHOURS NEEDED ) 7:00am to 9:30pm timeframe

WORKING CONDITIONS :
  • Equipment used includes desktop or laptop with Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work generally performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
Starting Pay Rate

starting $41.00 per class hour (Payment is split into three equal payments based on quarter start date).
