The Department of Radiology is seeking aFinancial Analyst who will provide financial support to the Non-sponsored Finance Team in the. The Financial Analyst will provide professional non-sponsored fund management and analysis for more than 90% of the time. The position will be responsible for financial transactions, performing basic financial analyses and generating complex SAP/Analysis Financial reports as well as dissemination of important financial data, guidelines and policies. This individual will need strong oral and written communication skills. The position will report to the Financial Manager for the Department of Radiology.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enter accounts receivable transactions, electronic payment requests, expense transfers and check deposits in SAP system/iLabs in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation according to policies.
  • Prepare quarterly reconciliation of small portfolio of non-sponsored accounts (including Departmental IRB account) and prepare reports for a variety of monthly and quarterly non-sponsored meetings. Utilize similar data gathering and reconciliation processes during budget season to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for future years.
  • Handles monthly cost reviews, recommends adjustments and other cost improving ideas.
  • Assist Department Finance leadership with standardization of forms and templates as well as dissemination of standardized information to Divisional and Departmental parties and assist with the automation of Departmental dashboards, Profit and Loss statements and other frequently-used templates.
  • Generates financial reports on a monthly and quarterly bases that show financial forecasting, trends in the accounts, and highlight any problematic financial accounts. Handles adhoc reports as needed.
  • Assist in JHH and Bayview analysis/reporting of monthly financial and volume statistical data for departmental leadership.
  • Update monthly EPSI volume no cost standards reports for JHH and Bayview. Validate unit cost and procedure minutes for modalities.
  • Compile invoices and prepare Pcard reconciliation for department expense on purchasing card.
  • Attend finance trainings and meetings to stay updated on changes in internal and external policies and procedures.
  • Work with Finance Leadership to update any observed deficiencies in workflow or operational processes and maintain open lines of communication with Departmental and Divisional leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field.
  • Three years progressively responsible related financial/accounting experience required. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
  • Three years progressively responsible related financial/accounting experience required.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.  Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
