Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position of
Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Computing and Information Sciences
(CIS) of the Ridge College of Intelligence Studies and Applied Sciences, to begin in the 2022
Spring or 2022 Fall Semester. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science. ABD candidates
are encouraged to apply. Candidates will also be considered for individuals who possess a master’s
degree and significant practitioner experience; however hiring will be at an instructor level.

Candidates should be prepared to teach introductory and advanced courses in computer science at the
undergraduate and graduate levels, in support of the cyber security and data science programs. In
addition to teaching excellence, faculty are expected to engage in scholarly activity and
participate in service to the community and institution.
