Salary: Current adjunct rate - $48.98 per hour

MVCC is seeking to fill two part-time positions in our FAA Approved Airframe & Powerplant Certificate Program . The Adjunct Instructor provides delivery of the required FAA Airframe & Powerplant training curriculum to include both lecture and lab settings. Majority off the program instruction takes place in the college's state-of the-art aviation center located at Griffiss International Airport in Rome NY.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Teach in accordance with assigned course obligation;
• Assure presented curriculum meets appropriate FAR147 requirements;
• Assure the programs, courses and instruction are meeting student transfer, job entry, and/or career advancement needs;
• Articulate and cooperate with all other offices in Instruction, Student Services and Administrative Services as appropriate;
• Participate in scheduled meetings as needed;
• Comply with College guidelines, policies, and procedures;
• Perform such other duties as may be required.

Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:
Must hold FAA Airframe certificate and have at least one year aviation maintenance work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Hold full FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate and have three to five years of aircraft maintenance experience. Some formal teaching experience.

Special Instructions to Applicants: Must hold current FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate. Individuals holding one of the two ratings may be considered. Official academic transcripts required upon hire.
