Job Summary:
The Budget Planner & Analyst will be responsible for a wide variety of analysis and accounting activities in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS). As a large and complex college, CALS offers a dynamic work environment with limitless possibilities. This position will have a range of responsibilities including revenue generation activities, budgeting, forecasting, model building, cost driver analysis, reporting and analysis, policy compliance, and special projects.

Qualifications:
-Four years plus of prior experience working in Finance, Analysis or Accounting field preferred
-Life-long learner with strong analytical, communications, and problem-solving skills
-Proven ability to collaborate with business partners
-Experience analyzing cost structures and building pricing models
-Experience working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
-Knowledge of governmental cost accounting practices and principles
-Ability to interpret state statutes, federal regulations, administrative rules, and university, college, and department/center policies
-High level ability to remain focused, attend to detail, meet deadlines, and perform efficiently and effectively under pressure, as well as the ability to independently determine priorities.
-Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills
-Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
-Proficient in Excel and experience working with complex automated accounting systems
License/Certification:
Preferred
CPA - Certified Public Accountant
