Description
Responsibilities: Supports university strategic planning and decision-making through the collection, analysis and dissemination of organizational information. Participates in business process analysis to ensure efficient operations throughout the university with consistent data management procedures. Ensures data integrity through the supervision of the documentation and governance of functional and technical definitions of data elements and reports.
Minimum Requirements:
REQUIRED:
  1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field is required.
  2. A minimum of four (4) years employment experience in data analysis, programming, and/or database administration is required, preferably within an institution of higher learning.
  3. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in any field, combined with a significant number of years' employment experience in data analysis, programming, and/or database administration (preferably within an institution of higher learning) may be considered in lieu of requirements # 1 and 2 above.
  4. Proficiency in project management is required.
  5. Experience with enterprise database management systems such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Informix or comparable systems is required.
  6. Proficiency in the use of enterprise database reporting tools such as MS SQL Server Reporting Services, InfoMaker, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports, or comparable tools is required.
  7. Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  8. Must be proficient in general office and copy equipment operation.
  9. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.

PREFERRED:
  1. Experience programming and developing web-based solutions is preferred.
  2. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, C# or ASP .NET is preferred.
  3. Supervisory experience is preferred.
