The Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology Program (http://catalog.college.emory.edu/department-program/index.php?YToxOntzOjI6ImlkIjtzOjI6IjQ0Ijt9)
is an interdepartmental undergraduate program representing a unique
interdisciplinary synthesis of the fields of neuroscience and
behavior. The program’s success comes from the expertise,
enthusiasm, and commitment of 8 core faculty, six of them
lecture-track, and supported by a larger community of 54 faculty in
associated departments and programs across the University. The NBB
program faculty are committed to creating a respectful community of
educators and scholars and seek colleagues who are willing to
nurture and support growth of students of all races, ethnicities,
gender identities, and those who identify as LGBTQ+. This search is
part of a multi-year Emory initiative to foster equity (https://equityandinclusion.emory.edu/_includes/documents/sections/homepage/odei_2020_midyear_report.pdf)
and to promote the success of our diverse student population. A
successful candidate will have a PhD in a field that will
contribute meaningfully to the NBB Program’s curricular goals and
an outstanding record of teaching, curricular development and
student academic advising. A new faculty member will teach 1-2
required NBB courses (https://www.nbb.emory.edu/academics/course-descriptions/Core%20Courses.html)
