A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) is seeking an Institutional GME Accreditation and Data Coordinator. The position reports to the Still OPTI Executive Director and is reponsible for coordinating GME accreditation efforts of the sponsoring institution; helping develop processes that make institutional and program level GME accreditation data readily available for improvement, innovation and oversight; overseeing the New Innovations Residency Management Software System within the Still OPTI GME Consortium; serving as an accreditation information resource for education/residency coordinators; and identifying and implementing both systems and innovative tools to ensure ongoing institutional compliance with regulatory agencies (ACGME, AOA, CMS).

Major Job Duties
  • Develop, maintain and communicate accreditation and recognition dashboards reflecting accreditation, common program requirements and the clinical learning environment.
  • Oversee and enter data from affiliated residency and fellowship programs, work closely with participating site coordinators to obtain data, ensure data is entered in New Innovations and WebADS Case Logs, and train coordinators on the functionality and features of New Innovations by conducting individualized or group on-site and/or online presentations.
  • Participate in design and implementation of assessment tools and systems that reflect program requirements, outcomes, and improvement cycles.
  • Create and maintain educational quality dashboard - develop and generate statistical, demographic, and narrative reports to meet accreditation and operations requirements.
  • Develop and disseminate understanding of and maintain knowledge of New Innovations software and ACGME requirements by attending conferences and lectures offering updates.
  • Navigate ACGME program self-study preparation and documentation with DIO and Executive Director.
  • Assist DIO, Associate DIO(s) and other personnel in serving as project manager for CLER.
  • Serve as staff support for GMEC, GMEC Subcommittees, and OPTI committees.
  • Provide high-level administrative and technical assistance to Designated Institutional Official and Executive and serve as backup for Administrative Assistant conducting such tasks as meeting preparations, written and verbal communication with participating sites, planning and preparing for appointments and travel, and management of department website.
  • Participate and assist with manning booths at events and interacting with potential and existing members, such as Hospital Days and Still OPTI CME events.
  • As a Still OPTI representative, assist the ATSU/KCOMSOMA and Still OPTI administration, faculty, and staff.
  • Engage representatives of the American Osteopathic Association and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, specialty colleges, trainees, including medical students, viewing them as external customers of Still OPTI.
  • Serve other ATSU departments and OPTIs as internal customers.
Requirements
  • 4 year college degree in Business Administration, Education, Communication or similar studies
  • Must be proficient in operation of copier, telephone, scanner
  • New Innovations software knowledge preferred or experience with other resident/customer management software
  • Experience with assessment tool development and social media are preferred
  • Typing skills
  • Knowledge of general office operations
  • Ability to prepare and present educational lectures in person and via internet
  • Knowledge of web-based applications and management of department website
  • Travel and event planning skills
  • Professional communication and appearance is a must
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to work ahead on projects and strives to improve systems/processes for
    greater efficiency
  • Able to lead teams, trouble shoot, develop and implement solutions, educate others and contribute to a productive team effort
  • Creative and self-motivated with the ability to work with little to no supervision
