Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 508867), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in epidemiology or a related discipline, with a strong background in infectious disease epidemiology, surveillance and control. They should have excellent communication skills, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, the ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines, the ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team, and a demonstrated record of research output. They should be organized, responsible and self-motivated. Relevant research experience in managing community-based epidemiologic studies or clinical trials, and analysing data generated from such studies would be an advantage.

The appointee will work with a team to conduct community-based research on the epidemiology and vaccine responses of respiratory virus infections including COVID-19 and influenza. He/She will also conduct independent research and perform other duties as assigned. Information about the School can be obtained at http://sph.hku.hk/ .
