About the Opportunity:
The Regional Director serves an integral role in the growth of domestic enrollments for graduate programs at Khoury College and is the primary face of Khoury in California. Our Align programs are a key driver of domestic enrollments. Align enables intellectually curious students to earn a Master of Science in Computer or Data Science without a background in computing or programming. Regardless of undergraduate major or current experience, Align's custom curricula prepares students for high demand jobs in tech. The college aims to use this program to increase participation by women and underrepresented groups in the computing field. This role will, however, be a key partner in recruiting for all Khoury graduate programs and will support the national team as need on domestic recruiting efforts.
Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities for this role include:
1) Working with Khoury recruitment leadership team to strategize and implement an effective regional recruitment plan to increase our domestic student body at the California campuses
2) Supporting prospective students during the application and enrollment process
3) Developing regional strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, identified colleges and other ecosystem actors to strengthen outreach, enrollment and brand visibility with the target audience.
Responsibilities:
Work with recruiting leadership team to develop a plan to build domestic enrollments in California
Manage Graduate Admissions Counselor to help attain goals. Supports the Khoury's Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement in the development and coaching of Admissions Counselors to help attain goal
Works within the national recruitment marketing strategy to deploy tactics in region
Support recruitment events both virtually and in person at the regional and national level. Present programs as needed at events.
Works collaboratively with regional campus leadership to understand their strategic vision and incorporate in the regional plan
Works collaboratively with Enrollment Management colleagues in region to ensure a collaborative approach to outreach and recruiting
As part of a national team this position will support other college initiatives as needed
Works to achieve the following goals:
Regional Goals:
Work with College/University team to plan and execute local event strategy in California
Foster and develop relationships with community organizations, and local/regional colleges/universities
Research feeder colleges and work with recruitment team leaders to implement feeder school outreach plan
Create co-planned events with colleges + recruiting partners
Identify influencers (internal: current students/alums/faculty) (external: recruiting partners)
Organize multicultural and diversity-focused recruitment activities and events in collaboration with recruitment team leaders
Enrollment goals:
Maintain healthy lead generation pipeline with lead generation from recruiting events + recruiting partner contacts
Increase domestic enrollments year over year by 40%
Grow diverse enrollments in keeping with goal of 50% women and 25% URG
Build rapport and guide prospects through admission process
Identify ‘hot spot' locations for outreach events
Identify opportunities to speak to a captivated student audience at feeder schools
Nurturing goals:
Maintain healthy domestic pipeline by nurturing applications to enrolled status
Build rapport and guide prospects through admission process
Works in tandem with enrollment counselor to follow recruitment communication plan and workflow and providing timely response to new inquiries throughout the week
Prepare and maintain records and reports related to assigned activities
Performs routine clerical, office and data entry task as needed to ensure all leads are updated in Salesforce
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; MS preferred; 5 + years of experience in admissions and/or recruitment; Previous experience in recruiting position required (3+ years); Experienced presenter, comfortable in front of large and small groups; Prior supervisory experience preferred; Customer service, sales or marketing experience with excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to reflect and promote the mission, vision, and identity of the University and Khoury College; Experience using Salesforce or other CRM; Experience working in higher education, preferably in California; Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; Ability to work independently as part of a remote team; Collaborative team player; Proven problem solver and strategist to find and build community and university relationships; Capacity to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends; Willingness to travel on a frequent basis; Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds, move furniture and be able to physically set up rooms for meetings/events; Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, Zoom, and other webinar software, willing to learn new technologies; Must possess strong time management skills and can prioritize and balance responsibilities
