The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor level to teach courses within its Information Systems (IS) and Management programs with an expected start date of August 2022 or earlier. Courses in these programs include Cybersecurity, Database Management, Machine Learning, Web Mining and Integrating IS Technologies, among others.

We seek an individual with significant professional experience as well as excellent academic experience and credentials who will be able to identify developments within Information Systems and technology innovation and teach existing as well as new courses. Successful candidates will possess an advanced degree, with a minimum of a Master’s degree in Business or in a technology-related discipline, and extensive experience teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Expertise in IS design, management and consulting experience, and teaching at the undergraduate, graduate and executive level is desirable. The ability to work closely with the Computer Science and the Electrical and Computer Engineering departments in the School of Engineering and with the Business Intelligence and Analytics and the Telecommunications Management programs in the School of Business in course and program development and coordination is highly valued. The rank of the position will be dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Stevens offers Information Systems degrees at the graduate, undergraduate and PhD level. The MS in Information Systems is one of the largest programs in the School of Business and consists of courses on emerging information technologies, business process innovation, IT strategy and IS architectures as well as concentrations in process and service innovation, business intelligence and analytics, cybersecurity, and project management. The school recently launched an interdisciplinary graduate certificate in Cybersecurity Risk Management. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full role in curricular development, student advisement and the programs’ robust series of public events besides the primary role of teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses.
