The UW Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time fellowship-trained candidate for a faculty position in adult reconstruction/joint replacement. The practice will be located at the University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest Campus. Opportunities exist for both clinical and basic research as well as resident and medical student education. Appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor level (without tenure due to funding). Responsibilities will include resident education, medical student teaching, and clinical or basic research. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to develop a busy clinical practice encompassing all aspects of hip and knee reconstruction. This position is on a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) with a start date in the summer or fall of 2022. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent), be board certified (or eligible) in orthopaedic surgery and have completed a fellowship (or foreign equivalent).

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or foreign equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
