Recruits, trains and provides guidance to members of the ESPORTS team in a manner which promotes the academic, athletic and social success of its competitors and is consistent with the mission and goals of the University of Bridgeport Athletics and Recreation departments. The eSports program is expected to recruit student-athletes that can be successful academically, socially and athletically at the University of Bridgeport, meeting a minimum roster size of 25 unique student-athletes each year;

Major Task, Duties and Responsibility:
  • Represent the University of Bridgeport and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
  • Promote and support the University of Bridgeport and its mission.
  • Promote and support the University of Bridgeport Athletic Department’s program mission and goals.
  • Promote the eSports program
  • Provide leadership in the planning and operation of the program.
  • Administer eSports program within the policies of University of Bridgeport and the ECAC.
  • Organize training and contests
  • Adhere to operating, and equipment budgets as established by the Athletic Department.
  • Delegate responsibilities to staff, student workers
  • Develop and maintain a successful recruiting system while maintaining a high level of visibility.
  • Assist in promotion and public relations activities for the University of Bridgeport Athletic Department.
  • Schedule contests in accordance with the policies set forth by the University of Bridgeport Athletic & Recreation Departments
  • Coordinate travel and meal considerations for away contests.
  • Enforce discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Athletics
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred;
  • CPR/AED certification;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Coaching and /or participation at collegiate level preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in eSports
  • Ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends;
  • Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and meet University of Bridgeport’s Driving Requirements;
  • Willingness to fundraise;
