Description
The Computer Science Department is seeking a full-time tenure track faculty candidate who is able to teach students from diverse backgrounds in the online Data Science graduate program and the online/on-campus undergraduate Data Analytics program. Additional courses for the undergraduate curriculum in Computer Science and/or within the specialty area of the candidate are possible and may be offered online or on-campus. The candidate should also be able to develop a dynamic research program that will advance the research opportunities for undergraduates.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in computer science, data science, data analytics, or related field from an accredited university by date of appointment; commitment to excellence in teaching as demonstrated by teaching evaluations from at least one year of part-time or full-time teaching gained concurrently or at any time; effective written and oral communication skills.
Authorization to work in the US
Employer will consider sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching data science or computer science classes; experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS ; additional knowledge in data mining, machine learning/AI, data visualization, or applied data analytics; experience in online instruction.
