Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for an IT Specialist located at our Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC). This individual will assist the Coordinator with the daily support and/or maintenance of all computers and related hardware equipment and software in the Center. They will also function in the role of a desktop support and helpdesk technician and support both staff and student technology needs. Advise and recommend necessary upgrades to the Coordinator of Information Technology Services. This position will oversee and manage all related user accounts related to student, faculty, and staff technology use. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology by the time of appointment from a college or university accredited by U.S. Department of Education or an internally recognized college or university OR experience in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrate experience and proficiency with computer software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, public, college community, and external constituencies, with an appreciation for cultural and group differences.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Current IT certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience cabling for networks.
    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm Salary and Benefits: Salary $44,374. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
