Under the leadership of the Senior Director, this Coordinator teaches data-informed workshops for community members and/or students which focus on assisting individuals in significant life transitions such as divorce, loss of employment, and transition to the workforce; prepares prospective students to attend college and succeed; provides success coaching for assigned student caseload; and supports students on their path to graduation. This role coordinates programs focused on adult learners in addition to our broader student success programs. Oversees community resource partnerships, external scholarships, and Utah Women's Centers Coalition collaborations.

Work Remotely Hybrid Eligible (1-4 Days)

Some evening and/or weekend work required.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all components of workshop series for adults in major life transitions including: curriculum development, andragogy, recruitment, operations, registration, teaching, and assessment. Collaborate on marketing efforts related to your portfolio. (30%)
  • Serves as community consultation coach, provide holistic assessment of individual needs, and make referrals to appropriate campus and community resources. Receives confidential and occasionally difficult personal information and make appropriate referrals. (25%)
  • Responsible for management of external resource partnerships, identifying successful and productive collaborations, and fulfilling any partnered grants. Oversee the administration of external scholarship opportunities for underserved populations. Responsible for budget and planning within program scope and maintaining program size to ensure success. Functions as department expert on community resources. (25%)
  • Supports and uses data, assessment, and analytic information to support clients, students, and optimize programs. Track data, create reports, and compile information. (10%)
  • Serves as Women's Success Center ambassador and on- and off-campus engagements. Performs other duties as assigned. (10%)

Required Qualifications:
Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, plus two of experience related to the summary of duties or combination of education and experience with equivalent total. Professional teaching experience in a reputable organization.

  • Ability to use multiple software and technology platforms to communicate and work effectively.

  • Ability to understand institutional policies and procedures and make appropriate application.
  • Ability to understand and support students’ goals, aspirations, and challenges - both academic and non-academic.
  • Ability to help students identify academic and external needs that may distract from academic pursuits.
  • Ability to work productively with a diverse team and with diverse student and community populations.
  • Ability to foster and contribute to positive work environments.


Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from regionally accredited institution with a master’s degree in psychology, family studies, or related field. Two years of experience directly related to position description. Experience creating curriculum. Paid experience teaching psychosocial and critical errors curriculum in a reputable organization. Experience developing and assessing student retention and completion-focused programs. Experience supporting parent-students and adult learners.Spanish-speaking preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Moderate physical activity.
May require physical effort including lifting up to 25 pounds and some extended periods of standing or walking.
