Job Description:
Weber State University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the School of Computing to begin in Fall 2022. The School of Computing houses three programs: Computer Science, Network Management Technology, and Web & User Experience.

Job Duties:
Successful candidates will have duties that include teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses, in a variety of modalities and campuses, including but not limited to: Face-to-Face, Virtual, and Online classes at the Ogden and Davis campus as well as some night classes, conduct some research and scholarship, participating in course and curriculum development, and provide service to the department, college, and the university.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have earned a doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field from an accredited institution or international equivalent is required for appointment. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) will be considered, but must provide proof that the doctorate is completed within the first year of the appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Seeking applicants who are able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. They must also demonstrate proven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with students, staff, and faculty peers.

Preference will be given to faculty with demonstrated experience in the areas of Data Science & Statistical Analysis, Computer Security, Operating Systems, Advanced Architecture and Advanced Algorithms, and with university-level teaching experience, as well as those with additional industry experience.

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience, with generous benefits.
