JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Psychology at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level in biological psychology. The successful candidate will have the expertise to teach courses in various areas of biopsychology as well as animal learning. Examples of such courses include behavioral neuroscience, brain and behavior, neuropsychiatric disorders, and advanced seminar in biological psychology. Individuals with research interests in neuroendocrinology, drug addiction, the neurobiology of learning and memory, or psychopharmacology are especially encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in behavioral neuroscience, experimental psychology, or a related area is required at the time of appointment. The start date for the position is August 15, 2022.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
The candidate will have opportunities to teach from a wide selection of our current departmental course offerings, both core and elective courses. Examples of possible courses for this position include biological psychology, brain and behavior, behavioral neuroscience, learning and motivation, drugs and behavior, developmental psychobiology, and neuropsychiatric disorders. Applicants must exhibit a strong ability to publish peer-reviewed research in their area of expertise, and express the capability to mentor students in their area. Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students across a wide range of disciplines. Ideally, the candidate's research agenda would have the potential for future extramural funding.

Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued. Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.
