About the Position:
The Division of Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion is focused on providingl human resource services and supports the University's goal to recruit and retain a high-quality and diverse faculty and staff. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Total Wellness team as an Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt. We, at the division of Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion (HRDI), are seeking a driven, versatile, and eager professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under general supervision, the Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt provides administrative and analytical support to the Director of Total Wellness and other administrators in the unit. Coordinates the day-to-day operation and evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency of the Total Wellness department, responsible for overall department communications including letters, emails, flyers, posters and including web-based delivery and social media for the department. Responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of the department website. Serves as the principal liaison between the Director of Total Wellness and campus personnel and external community. Serves as the initial point of contact and assists in all areas of the department; benefit programs, Workers' Compensation, Disability Accommodations, Fee Waivers and Wellness programs. Works with employees' medical and disability documents (manual/electronic/storage) that are highly confidential and time sensitive. The Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt must demonstrate considerable judgment, discretion, and professionalism. Provides exceptional customer service to all contacts and takes initiative and ownership of all work performed. Leads the department special projects and events. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs. Working knowledge of the general practices, program or administrative specialty. Basic knowledge of and the ability to apply fundamental concepts. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit or administrative specialty. Knowledge of and the ability to apply basic methods and procedures used for research and statistical analysis. Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques. Ability to make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, handle multiple priorities, and organize and plan work assignments. Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university industrial relations, human resources, public administration, business administration, or a related field. Possess minimum three years of experience performing administrative support to an executive. Demonstrated experience in In Industrial relations, human resources, public administration, business administration, or a related field. Possess minimum three years of experience performing administrative support to an executive. Demonstrated experience in Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, American's with Disabilities Act accommodations and/or integrated disability management work.

Experience with case management, recordkeeping, and budget tracking; general knowledge of human resources policies, practices, processes and ethics. Position also requires basic typing and keyboard skills. Ability to perform a substantial higher level of administrative office support and coordinating duties: e.g. providing work direction and guidance to others; making recommendation on employee work issues; and coordinating events, training and special projects of limited duration. Experience working with case management systems and/or personnel management systems. Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws in Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, American's with Disabilities Act and/or Integrated Disability Management. Additional qualifying professional-level experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-to-year basis.
