Job description:
Successful applicants will conduct research studies that focus on antibody discovery, engineering and delivery. The successful applicants will screen therapeutic antibodies against various gut infectious diseases. The candidate antibodies will be characterized and engineered based on in vitro studies. The final format of the antibody drug will be delivered into gastrointestinal tract by an engineered probiotic yeast. Several animal models will be employed to evaluate the efficacy and pharmaceutical kinetics of the engineered yeast strains.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Design and conduct molecular and cell biology research experimentation as directed by Principal Investigator (PI).
- Develop standard protocols and conduct pharmaceutical kinetics studies.
- Extract, analyze, interpret and evaluate experimental data.
- Work closely with PI to establish working relationships with and write result reports to sponsors of research.
- Write manuscripts, articles, abstracts and research reports for publication in scientific journals.

Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree (PhD) in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology or related fields.
- Must be willing to learn new technologies and do animal experiments.
- Have experience in ELISA, protein expression and purification.
- Previous experience with MSD immunoassay is preferred.
- Previous experience in antibody discovery and engineering is preferred.
