Director of Admissions & Recruitment

Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Director of Admissions & Recruitment position. Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Director of Admissions and recruitment works closely with the Marketing and Communications, Enrollment Services, High School Programs, Student Success and Academic Programs teams to develop and lead College-wide data-enabled recruitment strategies and initiatives that successfully identify, connect and communicate with, and enroll students, including Dual Enrollment, guest and other partner/program initiatives in collaboration with Workforce Development and Academic programs. The Director leads and motivates the Admissions and recruitment team, communicates effectively with diverse constituent groups, strengthens and integrates partner relationships (both internal and external), and leads successfully in cross-functional settings. The Director is accountable for recruiting and enrolling students in alignment with the College’s enrollment management goals, and strategically supports the College’s enrollment planning and management efforts. The Director works collaboratively with other Directors, Executive Directors and Deans to develop and implement marketing, communication and student connectivity strategies that increase both the number of applicants and applicants enrolling each semester.

 

 *This position requires the candidate to obtain the PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances prior to their start date.

 

Essential Knowledge & Skills

Education/Training/Work Experience

  • Master’s degree and minimum 4 years of direct leadership-level experience in the management of a college-wide student Admissions program and/or operations is required.
  • Demonstrated management and use of higher education CRM system(s), student search databases, student information systems, and related technologies including social-media platforms is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing multiple teams and recruitment related initiatives to attain enrollment goals is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, oversee planning and execution of initiatives, and work collaboratively relative to a College-wide recruitment program.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership ability and experience in motivating, supervising and evaluating the performance of staff.
  • Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of budgetary and supervisory processes.
  • Extensive experience in a student services environment, and a strong commitment to customer service with students, colleagues, and community partners.
