The Office of the Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs seeks a Senior Budget Coordinator to provide budget-related and administrative managerial support to the office. The Office of the DOF/VPAA oversees nearly 500 employees in more than 40 departments and programs, having a budget of approximately $29 million, with responsibility for all personnel issues for faculty and faculty development matters. The person in this position must work autonomously and independently and is responsible for ensuring job duties and special projects be completed accurately and in a timely and professional manner.

Experience:

The person in this position must accurately and creatively plan, advise the DOF/VPAA, and oversee the multitude of budgets under the auspices of the Division of Academic Affairs The managerial aspect of this position also encompasses acting as liaison to academic department administrative assistants to mentor and identify processes for improvement. Establishment, monitoring and adhering to timelines and deadlines throughout the year is essential.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, providing Administrative Support to VPAA/DOF and ADOF for budget-related issues; preparing annual fiscal-year budgets for the Office of the VPAA/DOF and ADOF, as well as various other offices that fall under the auspices of the VPAA/DOF; processing annual updated operating budgets for all Academic Affairs offices and programs; reviewing and approving all Faculty Travel to Read and Represent requests for funds to travel; administering all faculty internal research grants; oversee Summer Collaborative Research program and Donor endowed gifts; oversees Ad Hoc project grants; maintain endowed research grants, Dean’s Discretionary funds in the Sciences, College Lecture accounts, and miscellaneous donor endowed accounts; monitoring expenses associated with use of VISA purchase and College SCIP cards per college guidelines; coordinate and process orders for supplies, equipment and furniture requests; and p rovide support as needed for institutional grants that fall under the subsidy of the DOF/VPAA.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, excellent interpersonal and organization skills, and strong writing, time-management, and self-discipline skills are required.

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent course-work or experience.

Pay Range: Commensurate with experience
