The School of Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University ( FDU ) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Psychology with a specialty in school/child/clinical psychology, and expertise in designing and evaluating school-based interventions (including via single case study methodologies) and/or culturally responsive consultation, supervision, and treatment practices. The candidate will be expected to: 1) teach graduate courses for school psychology programs; 2) supervise child counseling/therapy cases in both school-based and clinic settings; 3) support doctoral student research; 4) maintain an active program of research in an area of specialization. Position may allow the opportunity to develop specialty coursework in candidate’s area of expertise.

FDU’s NASP -approved school psychology program is ecologically oriented and emphasizes data-based decision-making and a commitment to social justice. It is led by a dynamic group of experienced faculty members who work closely together to support students and improve practice. As recent recipients of a $1.9M Mental Health Service Demonstration Grant from the US Department of Education, FDU is engaged in transformative collaboration with the Newark Public Schools to provide mental health services to students and paid practicum and internship opportunities for school psychology trainees. Located just outside New York City in suburban Teaneck, NJ, the Metropolitan Campus offers access to countless major cultural institutions and outdoor recreation options.

Required Qualifications:
Doctorate in school/child/clinical psychology or related field; licensed or license-eligible. State and/or national certification in school psychology preferred. Candidates with expertise in best practices for working with culturally and linguistically diverse students (e.g., those who hold a bilingual extension/approval) are strongly encouraged to apply.
