Hiring Manager Title:
We are seeking an adjunct professor to teach an introductory
pharmacokinetics course in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) program
in Fall 2022 at the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences,
Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Introduction to Pharmacokinetics is a 2-credit course offered to
the first year Pharm.D students in the fall semester. This
introductory course covers fundamental concepts in pharmacokinetics
that are needed to understand pharmacotherapy in later courses. A
significant emphasis is placed on mathematical understanding of
drug concentrations in the human body as it impacts pharmacological
activity and therapy.
Class meets in-person once per week for 15 weeks, August
23—December 15. Each class is 100 minutes in length. The approved
syllabus is available.
The ideal candidate for the adjunct professor should have an
advanced degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D) or pharmaceutical science
(Ph.D) and has sufficient knowledge in pharmacokinetics to teach at
the introductory level. Direct expertise in pharmacokinetics or
clinical pharmacology is not required. Prior teaching experience is
