Anderson University (South Carolina) and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty member for a professor of Physics, beginning August 2022. Faculty rank and status will be determined at the time of appointment based upon the degrees, experience, and record of scholarship. An earned doctorate in Physics from a regionally accredited institution is preferred; an ABD or master’s degree may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience involving active learning and mobile technology. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

The Physics faculty supports degrees in the fields of engineering, game development, mathematics, biology, biochemistry, and kinesiology by teaching fundamental physics concepts. The successful applicant should be able to maintain a teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year, teach trigonometry-based and calculus-based introductory physics courses with labs, develop active learning opportunities for students to apply fundamental physics to their field of study.
