Exercise Physiology Faculty Position

 The Department of Biology at Ave Maria University seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in Exercise Physiology as a Professor (all ranks), Visiting Professor, or Lecturer beginning in the Fall of 2022. Applicants with a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Public Health or a closely related discipline are strongly preferred. Candidates that are ABD or a have a MS degree with teaching experience will also be considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. Ideal candidates will be well rounded in Exercise Physiology and can teach a broad range of courses in the Exercise Physiology curriculum, including those pertaining to sport performance, nutrition, and/or strength and conditioning. There will also be possible opportunities to develop courses in the areas of specialization within an undergraduate curriculum.  

 Ave Maria University is a private Catholic university located just east of downtown Naples. FL. The Exercise Physiology major is a rapidly growing, hosting ~9% of AMU’s student body and recently opened a 1,500 square foot state-of-the-art Laboratory of Applied Physiology and Human Performance in Summer 2018. The new laboratory includes a Cosmed K5 Portable Metabolic Cart, a Monarch LC4 Cycle Ergometer, Trackmaster Treadmill, and a SECA bioelectrical impedance system. The selected individual will be able to perform their own line of research.

Candidates should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted in support of their application upon request.

 Incomplete applications missing any components, especially the Ex Corde Ecclesiae statement, will not be considered.
