Assists the Executive Director of the Health Center with operational, business, and financial services for the Health Center, including financial management, budget management, reporting, payroll and human resources processes.
- Assists the Executive Director/Chief Physician with the development, implementation, and overall administration of operational and financial services related to human resources, payroll, procurement, budget management, policy development, and department assessment.
- Oversees and directs patient services staff and student health insurance coordinator, including recruitment, evaluation, train, and development; manages the day-to-day front desk operation including medical records, insurance, customer services and administration.
- Advises the Executive Director and staff of changes to regulations and requirements affecting the Health Center.
- Conducts and assists with the development of the semi-annual and annual reports and long-term strategic plan.
- Monitors budget expenditures and revenues, prepares statistical and financial reports; provides fiscal oversight for the Health Center; negotiates and manages contracts and purchasing agreements.
- Ensures quality standards are maintained, including applicable accreditations and compliance with regulations; participates in the ongoing evaluation of programs and services.
- May present with the Executive Director/Chief Physician at Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) annual meeting; serve on committees when needed.
- In coordination with the Executive Director /Chief Physician, negotiates with insurance companies to provide comprehensive medical insurance for eligible students, monitor services provided, and administer all aspects of student insurance programs.
- Implements strategic marketing and communication plans to advance the Health Center and coordinates outreach with other university departments, community health agencies, and other health related resources; partners with other UH departments to build relationships to better service the students.
- Oversees and maintains Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring effective policies and procedures are in place; serves as the point of contact for all EMR related questions and issues.
- Serves as an advisor to the Health Center Advisory Board and represents the Health Center by serving on various department and University committees.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications :
Masters and 5 years experience
Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
