The Center for Neural Science (CNS) at New York University
invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position
preferably at the level of Assistant Professor. We seek
candidates from research areas including, but not limited
to, sensory and motor systems, learning and memory,
decision-making, development, and brain disorders.
We welcome applicants using a wide range of systems,
circuits, cellular, molecular, and computational approaches.
The appointment is anticipated to begin as early as
September 2022, subject to administrative and budgetary
approval.
The successful applicant will join a collaborative
neuroscience research community spanning the Faculty of Arts
and Sciences at the Washington Square campus and the
School of Medicine, and benefit from being part of a joint
neuroscience graduate program that encompasses faculty at both
campuses. More information on our department can be found

Requirements & Application:
Appointees are expected to establish an independent research
program and to contribute to teaching and advising
undergraduate and graduate students at all levels in
CNS. Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant
field. Please provide a CV, a statement of your research
interests (no more than 3 pages), a 1-page teaching
statement, and a list of at least three references capable
of providing a letter on your behalf. Diversity is an
