Job Summary

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at The University of Texas at Tyler invites qualified applicants with a program of research/scholarship focused on health promotion or rural/underserved to apply for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor faculty position to begin Fall 2022. This is a 9-month academic appointment with a possible summer stipend. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.

 

Essential Functions

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Primary teaching responsibility in a nationally recognized online graduate nursing program and highly successful BSN program
  • Maintain an active program of scholarship.
  • Mentor and advise students.
  • Participate in School and University service.

 

Required Qualifications

  • D. in Nursing.
  • Eligible for licensure in Texas.
  • Evidence of program of scholarship.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Online teaching experience.
  • Record of extramural support and current competitive funding preferred.

Additional Information

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
