The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) invites applicants for a faculty member at the rank of Clinical Instructor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science. This is a continual 9-month appointment. The university is committed to creating a culture that embraces diversity and welcomes all people. The successful candidate will teach a 4/5 load per academic year (fall-spring). Responsibilities are assigned by the department chair in teaching courses considered to be in areas of need and may also include advising undergraduate students. The successful candidate will also provide service to the department, college, and university. Salary is commensurate with the teaching load.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a master’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, or related field.
  • Candidates will possess the ability to teach and develop undergraduate courses related to exercise physiology, fitness assessments, and exercise programming for a variety of populations.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years teaching experience in higher education.
  • Experience with mentoring undergraduate students.
