ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE/FULL PROFESSOR

 

SCIENCE EDUCATION AND CO-DIRECTOR OF THE

CENTER FOR STEM EDUCATION

 

The Department of Education, Counseling and Leadership (ECL) in the College of Education and Health Sciences at Bradley University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in our undergraduate programs. The position requires an earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Science Education or a closely related field. The starting date for this position is August 2022. Salary, rank, and tenure status are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

 

Qualified applicants must have or have held a teaching license, teaching experience in science education (K - 12) as well as experience in STEM education approaches and activities. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in varied grade levels (K – 12) and undergraduate level teaching. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to designing, teaching, and revising undergraduate science courses; co-directing the university’s Center for STEM Education; advising undergraduate students; researching; attending department and college meetings; and serving on department, college, and university committees as appropriate. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The ECL department offers undergraduate programs in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle School Education, High School Education, K-12 Education, and Special Education (Learning Behavior Specialist I). Approximately 300 students are currently enrolled in these programs. The education unit and teacher preparation programs hold Illinois State Board of Education and approval, respectively. The department also offers graduate programs in Counseling and Higher Education Administration.
