Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics

The Williams College Department of Physics invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor, to begin Fall 2022.

The teaching load will consist of an introductory course (and associated laboratories), with the possibility of an upper-level elective. We provide mentoring in teaching and research for visiting faculty as well as support for conducting research. There will also be opportunities to engage in research projects with students. We are particularly interested in attracting and welcoming candidates from under-represented groups as well as individuals who have experience working with diverse undergraduate student populations.


Candidates should have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. All offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a background check. Further information is available at
