The division is seeking a Software Engineer who is hard working, eager to learn and committed to growing with our organization.

This position is hybrid/remote eligible with periodic on-campus work at the supervisor’s discretion.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology/Systems
  • Java, PHP or equivalent object-oriented language
  • Experience in web development, including HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and Javascript libraries such as jQuery.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments, specifically LAMP stacks
  • Well-rounded engineering skills; full-stack development experience - web + services - If you've built something in your spare time send us the link, we'd love to hear about it.
Essential Functions:
  • Implement, maintain, and upgrade the College’s Learning Management System (LMS) as well as other web-based software solutions
  • Serve as a core member of an agile engineering team
  • Write functional documentation
  • Troubleshoot bugs and implement fixes for them
  • Evaluate performance of products
  • Offer suggestions for improvements/enhancements to currently developed solutions
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in your work
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned in a safe and responsible manner

As a Software Engineer you will participate in multiple aspects of the software development process, design, test, document, deploy and maintenance of web-based software solutions, including the College’s Website and Learning Management System (LMS). As a key member of a small and versatile team, you will have the challenge to produce world-class and scalable software using advanced technologies.
