Special Credit Programs Coordinator

Job Description

The Special Credit Programs Coordinator serves as a liaison between the Early College Academy, academic departments and other external entities serviced by Missouri Western. Leads or actively participates in selection and scheduling of courses for marketing of and enrollment of students in select “outreach” program; actively recruit school districts to use Missouri Western as dual credit/enrollment service provider, recruit and advise students; collaborates in external partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
  • Represents the University in coordinating and delivering the high school college credit programs
  • Advise and enroll students into the Early College Academy Program
  • Assists Instructional Media Center on Distance Education programs in measuring delivery, effectiveness and quality of programs
  • Works in conjunction with the Office of Academic Affairs and other academic departments/units to strategically plan and implement offerings which lead to career exploration
  • Collaborates with external partners to develop opportunities which increase student matriculation to MWSU .
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Supervisory Duties: Supervises one administrative assistant and one ECA program assistant.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Budget management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • An understanding of high school college credit programs as it relates to curriculum, registration/enrollment, and billing procedures
  • An understanding of high school and university cultures as it relates to marketing and multiple audiences
  • Strong customer service skills, ability to speak and present to large groups, dynamic personality
  • Strong and versatile computer skills and management of multiple platforms.
  • Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
  • Familiarity with NACEP accreditation standards as it relates to coordinating professional development
  • Familiarity with program and unit assessment as it relates to student learning outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (Canvas or other similar LMS ), Informational Management Systems (Ellucian Banner or other similar system) and enrollment systems (Slate or other similar system)
Physical Demands
  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
