Position Summary:
The Department of Applied Human Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Bachelor's degree program of Food and Nutrition. This 9-month, tenure-track position involves undergraduate teaching of students in the two concentrations in the Food and Nutrition program: Dietetics and Culinary Nutrition & Food Management. Courses may include, but are not limited, to Essentials of Nutrition, Human Nutrition, Experimental Foods, Food Service Management, and Food Preparation & Composition.

Responsibilities of faculty include teaching, scholarly activity, and service to the University, community, and profession. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have ABD toward a terminal degree from an accredited or internationally recognized institution in Nutrition, Food Sciences, or a related field.

Desired Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietitian with successful work experience in the field of dietetics and research application in Nutrition. The committee also seeks candidates with evidence of community engagement and collaboration with individuals from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds.
