The Executive Director of Strategy & Planning is a senior IT
leadership position within the Division of IT reporting to the Vice
President for Information Technology and CIO. This key IT
leader is responsible for translating the University’s vision and
strategy into effective technology solutions and services.
Critical to this role is the ability to develop strategic
communications and build collaborative partnerships providing
planful, transparent, and effective technology services that are
both scalable and efficient. The Executive Director is
part of the VPIT & CIO’s senior leadership team and
participates in leadership efforts throughout the Division of IT
including organizational structure and culture; service planning,
processes and delivery; human resource management; practices
supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion; budgetary and
financial planning; long term capacity planning (people, space,
budget); and strategic planning and execution as it aligns with
broader campus and divisional strategies.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the Executive Director
actively models the CSU Principles of Community, and the
divisional values of Community, Collegiality, Reliability Service,
and Simplicity in all their actions.
The Executive Director leads efforts for divisional and campus IT
strategic planning, divisional service portfolio management,
technology architecture and alignment, IT performance and
effectiveness, and engagement with the campus community. This
includes leading the operational, financial, and team management
activities of three teams: Enterprise Architecture, Project
Management Office, and Campus Engagement & Communications.
